List Price of $0 to $50,000 —> $3,000 flat rate
List Price of $50,000 to $400,000 —> 6% on the first $100,000; 3% on the balance of the sale price**
List Price of $400,000 to $500,000 —> $15,000 flat rate
List Price of $500,000 to $600,000 —> $16,500 flat rate
List Price of $600,000 to $700,000 —> $18,000 flat rate
List Price of $700,000 to $800,000 —> $19,500 flat rate
List Price of $800,000 to $900,000 —> $21,000 flat rate
List Price of $900,000 to $1 million —> $22,500 flat rate
* All commission rates are subject to GST and PST, and these taxes must be added to the total commission amount. Real estate commissions (plus tax) are payable upon closing of the sale. - Example #1 – If your home is listed for $470,000, a $15,000 flat commission rate is applicable, minus the offered discount of $1,000, for a total commission charge of $14,000 (plus GST/PST), payable upon closing of the sale.
- Example #2 – If your home is listed for $250,000, the applicable commission rate in that price range is 6% on the first $100,000; 3% on the balance of the sale price. Applying the offered discount of $1000 is equivalent to a commission rate of 5% on the first $100,000; 3% on the balance of the sale price. Therefore, if the final sale price is $240,000, the discounted total commission charge would be $9,200 (plus GST/PST), payable upon closing of the sale.
